Perfect complement to the 14-45 and 45-200 lenses; those three lenses give you a fantastic focal coverage at a fraction of the bulk and weight of comparable DSLR lenses. Images are nice and sharp and the autofocus is fast and almost completely silent. This wide angle zoom lens at maximum aperture offers a higher picture quality than a lot of lenses on a camera with an APS-C or even a full frame sensor, tested on cameras with more pixels than the Panasonic GX7. In addition, both Olympus and Panasonic (especially the Panasonic GX7) cameras have built-in image stabilization.The vignetting of the Panasonic 7-14 mm is just over 1 stop at maximum aperture at all focal lengths. It is therefore not the zoom range, but the wide view angle of the Panasonic 7-14 that impressive. The front element does not turn during auto or manual focus.As previously mentioned, no hood is available for this lens.The VFA target should give you a good idea of sharpness in the center and corners, as well as some idea of the extent of barrel or pincushion distortion and chromatic aberration, while the Still Life subject may help in judging contrast and color.
